The GRENDI GROUP was established over 187 years ago and is the oldest shipping company in Italy. Today it is the
only specialist operator in Sardinia that can handle every stage of its door-to-door transport in-house, from small items

operator in the city, which is renowned worldwide for its mosaics and for being the place where the great poet and writer
Dante Alighieri is buried. Ravenna is the leading Italian port for trade with countries on the Mediterranean and in the Eastern
and Far Eastern markets. Sapir manages yards and docks where ships, trains and trucks arrive and where many types of
merchandise are stored, such as fertilisers, aggregates, iron, building materials and liquids and other items to be stored at

(quindi dello Stato) e sono affidate ad un ente, nato a partire dal 1994, e
che si chiama "Autorità Portuale". L’Autorità Portuale gestisce le diverse
aree assegnate a terminalisti, depositi costieri e società di servizi ovvero
ai concessionari. Nella loro attività, ogni Autorità Portuale è assogget-
tata al potere di vigilanza del Governo (Ministero delle infrastrutture e
dei Trasporti). Visita i diversi siti delle Autorità Portuali di La Spezia,
Cagliari, Gioia Tauro e Ravenna e scoprirai quanto siano importanti i loro
piani per lo sviluppo dei porti che troverai sotto il nome di PRP, Piano

The docks and port areas in Italy are the property of the state and since 1994 have been the responsibility of an organisation
called the "Port Authority". The Port Authority manages the different areas assigned to terminal operators, import depots
and service companies or franchisers. Each Port Authority is accountable to the government (the Ministry for Infrastructure
and Transport) for the work they do. Visit the different Port Authority sites in La Spezia, Cagliari, Gioia Tauro and Ravenna,
and find out about their important plans for development of the ports, under the title of PRP - Piano Regolatore Portuale
(Port Strategic Plan).
