PORTO LAB
sono una iniziativa pensata e voluta dal Gruppo Contship Italia
per offrire a voi e ai vostri insegnanti la possibilità di vedere da vicino il mondo dei porti e dei trasporti intermodali
con tutti i loro protagonisti. A questo progetto partecipano anche altre aziende, gli amici del
progetto PORTO LAB, che da anni ci aiutano a costruire questo diario ed organizzare le visite
dentro ai nostri terminal container. Sono gli sponsor del progetto e quest’anno abbiamo
voluto raccontarvi cosa fanno organizzandoli in 4 diversi gruppi. Troverai in tutto il diario
gli elementi che contraddistinguono ciascun gruppo.
The Contship Diary
with the
PORTO LAB
project is
an initiative conceived and produced by the Contship
Italia Group, to provide you and your teachers with the chance to directly experience the
world of ports and intermodal transport and all its key players. The project also involves other
companies, friends of the PORTO LAB project, who have helped us compile this diary and organise
visits to our container terminals for a number of years. They are the sponsors of this project, and this year we
thought we’d tell you what they do, so we've organised them into four different groups. Each group is identified
with a specific element, which you’ll notice as you read through the diary.
BRIEDA CABINS:
C’è un imprenditore che si chiama Siro Brieda e progetta
da anni le più innovative ed incredibili cabine per le gru. Si, dove siedono i
gruisti e da dove guidano questi enormi macchinari capaci di spostare con precisione i container da un punto ad un altro. Sei

There's a businessman called Siro Brieda who has been designing the most amazing, cutting-edge crane
cabins for years. That's right - the cabin where the crane operator sits to drive these enormous machines that can move containers
