Complicating life
Spesso l’abitudine e la fretta sono
nemiche del ragionamento perché
non ci permettono di riflettere con
calma, quindi: ogni volta che hai un
problema da risolvere, una domanda
a cui rispondere, una soluzione da
trovare LASCIA ALLA TUA MENTE
IL TEMPO DI RAGIONARE.
Il padre di Pierino ha tre figli:
Qui, Quo e...? Se hai risposto “Qua”,
non hai ragionato abbastanza: la
risposta corretta è “Pierino”. A dirla
proprio tutta c’è però della gente
che di tempo per ragionare se ne
prende davvero troppo e si complica
la vita, ma per divertimento!
Molti anni fa il fumettista Rube
Goldberg (che era anche ingegnere
e inventore), realizzava dei disegni
di macchine che richiedevano
ragionamenti lunghi e complicati:
le Goldberg Machine. Qui di
seguito ne trovi una che
serve per stappare una
bottiglia. Una persona
normale, ragionando,
prenderebbe un
cavatappi; Goldberg, invece,
non la pensava affatto così...

there are people who take too
much time to think and make life
difficult, merely for fun! Many
years ago the Cartoonist Rube
Goldberg (who was also an engineer
and inventor), made drawings of
machines that required long and
complicated reasoning: the Goldberg
Machines. Below you can find
one that is used to open
a bottle. An average
person, when
reasoning, would
take a corkscrew;
Goldberg, however,
did not think like
that at all...
