Nel 1969 gli astronauti non potevano certo farsi selfie sulla Luna,
infatti non esistevano ancora i cellulari. L’unico modo per scattare
una foto era caricare pesanti macchine fotografiche sulla navicella
spaziale insieme a metri e metri di pellicola*.
In 1969 the astronauts weren’t able to take selfies on the Moon, as
mobile phones didn’t even exist. The only way to take photos was
to carry heavy camera equipment onto the spaceship with many
rolls of film*.
*La pellicola è un sottile nastro che, una volta inserito all’interno delle macchine
fotografiche, permette di scattare un numero predefinito di foto (di solito da
12 a 36 per pellicola). Quando l’ultima foto della pellicola viene scattata questo
nastro viene recuperato e portato in un laboratorio specializzato dove le immagini
vengono stampate su carta.
*Photographic film is made of thin tape which used to be inserted in cameras to
enable a set number of photos to be taken (usually between 12 and 36 per roll of
film). After taking the last photo the roll would be taken to a specialist laboratory
where the images where printed onto paper.
